Granadilla

Commonly known as the sweet granadilla or grenadia, is a plant species in the genus Passiflora. Granadilla is a roundish oval fruit with shiny orange skin. The skin is hard and inedible but is easy to cut. The fruit contains a jelly-like pulp with black edible seeds. The taste of the flesh is lovely and sweet. The sweet taste of its pulp and its great nutritional content are two characteristics that make it ideal for making jellies, sweets, juices and smoothies, or use it as a natural sweetener due to its high percentage of fructose. However, it will always be better taken advantage of if we directly consume its fresh pulp, since that is where you will find all its benefits.
