Lulo

The lulo (Solanum quitoense) is a very common fruit in Colombia that also occurs in other Latin countries. Similar to a tomato but more consistent and yellow, it is covered with a fine lint that comes out with a wash. Of acid flavor, they are very juicy and their pulp is full of seeds.

The lulo is widely used as a base for many products such as pulps, juices, concentrates, ice creams, jams, preserves, sauces, desserts, sweets, etc.

Its juicy pulp can be consumed in juices or soft drinks including skin or skin to take full advantage of its nutrients, fibers and minerals.
